"Well... I like the idea of it, but..."
Well... I like the idea of it, but I just can’t set up the workspace the way I want. There aren’t enough customization options, so it feels a bit limiting.

"I tried using Notion as our project..."
I tried using Notion as our project database, it wore me down quickly. The filters felt like they were tucked away in weird places, relations were more confusing than I expected, and once the tables got bigger, everything started feeling painfully slow. Even simple things like sorting or updating views took way more clicks than they should, which got really irritating. I can see it being fine for notes, but as an actual database tool, I just don’t feel like I can trust it.

"I tried using the app on my phone..."
I tried using the app on my phone because I figured it would make things more convenient, but it ended up being more frustrating than helpful. Pages load slowly, little glitches pop up randomly, and I’ve been logged out more times than I can count. To me, it feels like the basics just aren’t reliable yet. I’d probably wait to download it until they smooth things out

"Templates felt a bit unfinished"
I was kind of in a rush when I tried these, so I was hoping they’d be easy to use right away. They weren’t terrible, but a lot of the templates felt basic and a little messy, like they still needed more polishing before being ready to go.

"We tried using it for our team..."
We tried using it for our team knowledge base, but uh, it got messy quickly. Pages were hard to keep organized, search didn’t always find what we needed, and the permissions ended up confusing everyone. We eventually just stopped using it.

"Free plan felt misleading"
I tried getnotion.com because I’d heard good things and figured the free plan would let me properly test it out. it felt way more limited than I expected.
I kept running into limits almost immediately, which made it feel like the free plan was more of a teaser than an actual way to see if the service would work for me. It was frustrating because I felt kind of misled going in.
Maybe it’s a better experience if you’re already paying, but as someone just trying it for free, I didn’t get enough time or flexibility to make a fair call. I ended up giving up and looking elsewhere...

"Wish I’d read reviews before moving our team in"
We tried using Notion for our team docs and tasks, and it got messy fast. The permissions were more confusing than I expected, and important stuff kept getting buried in random pages. It also took way too much effort to keep everything organized. I kind of regret jumping in before reading more reviews first, because it ended up not being worth the hassle for our team.
"Offline mode let me down"
I tried using it on a train last week, or maybe the week before, and a bunch of my pages just wouldn’t load. I was counting on having my notes available offline, so it was frustrating. Offline access feels really hit or miss right now.

"Felt too messy for organizing my work docs"
I gave Notion a try for keeping my work documents organized, but it got frustrating quickly. Everything started turning into pages inside other pages, with random links all over the place, and I kept losing track of where I put things. The search feature didn’t really save me either. I can see how some people might like it, but for simple document organization, it felt more chaotic than helpful

"Lost my trust right away"
This was confusing from the start. There was way too much to figure out, and nothing felt clear or easy. After dealing with that, I just don’t really trust it the way I expected to

"Search has been a real headache"
I really like the idea of Notion and wanted to make it work for me, but the search on getnotion.com has been so frustrating. It misses pages I know for a fact are there, pulls up old or random stuff first, and the filters don’t really make it any easier.
When you have a ton of notes, being able to search properly is kind of the whole point. I’ve ended up wasting way too much time clicking around manually, and to make it worse, I didn’t get any real follow-up when I tried to get help. for this issue alone, I’d give it 1 star.

"The editor is honestly frustrating"
I’ve been using the editor for a bit, it just feels awkward to work with. Formatting doesn’t seem to behave the way I expect, spacing shifts around, bullets get weird, and copied text doesn’t always keep its structure. It’s the kind of thing that makes the whole experience feel more irritating than helpful. I ended up spending more time fixing the layout than actually writing, which got old really fast.

"I signed up expecting to get started..."
I signed up expecting to get started quickly, but the whole onboarding process felt way more confusing than it needed to be. There were too many steps, not enough clear direction, and I kept getting sent to different places just to set up basic things.
The emails didn’t make it any better. A few of the links felt like they were sending me in circles, and I kept having to stop, wait, reread, and figure out what I was supposed to do next. It felt like the process expected me to just be endlessly patient with it.
Maybe the product itself is decent once you get past all that, but the first experience really wore me down. I don’t mind a little setup, but this felt like work before I even got to use anything, so I ended up giving up. Not a great first impression.
"App keeps crashing and it’s honestly frustrating"
I’ve been trying to use the app normally, but it keeps freezing and crashing when I’m just opening a page or typing notes. I’ve already lost my changes a couple of times, which is really annoying. At this point, I feel like the least they could do is apologize and fix the stability issues, because it’s not worth the hassle right now.
"Notes got messy fast"
I wanted to use it for simple notes, but it felt way too clunky and my notes kept turning into a mess. I also kept getting the vibe that some basic features might end up behind extra fees, which made me even less interested in sticking with it

"The sync keeps getting in the way"
I really wanted to like this, and there are parts of it I do like, but the syncing has been kind of a headache. Sometimes my notes show up fine on my laptop but not on my phone, or the other way around, and then I’m sitting there refreshing or closing and reopening things. It’s one of those little annoyances that starts to feel bigger when you’re just trying to get something done and not think about the app itself. Maybe it’s better for some people, I don’t know, but for me it hasn’t felt reliable enough.

"AI features didn’t earn my trust"
I gave Notion’s AI features a fair try, but they didn’t help me much. Most of the responses felt generic, and I kept having to rewrite everything anyway, which kind of defeats the point.
It’s fine for quick little notes, I guess, but after using it for actual work, I don’t really trust it to give me anything solid. I expected a lot more, and now I’m hesitant to rely on it at all.

"Wasn’t comfortable with the privacy side of it"
I gave Notion a try, and maybe it works well for people who are less worried about this stuff, but for me the privacy side didn’t feel clear enough. Since it’s tied to home data, I wanted to know exactly what information was being collected, stored, or shared, and I couldn’t really find a straightforward answer. The app seemed to ask for quite a bit, which made me hesitate. I also reached out to support, but the response didn’t really clear things up. Could be totally fine for some users, but I personally didn’t feel comfortable using it.
